Luxury tourism Exquisite Miami
How can you resist the most vibrant and dynamic city in the United States?
Very few cities in the U.S. live with as much intensity as Miami. This gateway to the Caribbean knows it all: enjoy all aspects of luxury; embrace the most cutting-edge art and architecture, and knows how to have fun without prejudice.
Art Deco Historic District
If there is an architectural style that defines Miami Beach, it is Art Deco. Pastel tones, straight lines, rounded balconies, and cylindrical turrets topped with neon lights are the hallmarks of this style. The catalog of these symmetrical buildings, constructed during Miami’s most glorious period, includes over 700 structures, most located in South Beach by the ocean, between 6th and 23rd streets. At the Art Deco Welcome Center, you can visit a themed museum and join a guided tour of the district.
'People watching' in South Beach
For Americans, Miami is synonymous with endless summer and freedom. All everyday taboos disappear when you step onto South Beach, a white sand beach that turns into the perfect stage to let loose and show off your body. Ocean Drive, one of the most famous streets in the U.S., is ideal for sports like running, surfing, or cycling, but also to strut along this improvised fashion runway where tanned skin becomes part of the look you wear.
Bal Harbour Shops
Regarded as one of the most luxurious shopping centers in Miami Beach, Bal Harbour Shops gathers around a lush courtyard the most exclusive fashion brands, including gastronomic offerings served among palm trees and refreshing fountains. Much of the appeal of this place comes from the atmosphere of true exclusivity provided by Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, the two luxury department stores favored by the real American high society.
Design District
A furniture store opened in the 1920s marked the beginning of the Miami Design District, now made up of 18 blocks filled with cutting-edge architecture and luxury stores. In 2018, two new iconic buildings were inaugurated: the new Institute of Contemporary Art Miami (ICA), designed by Spanish architects Aranguren + Gallegos; and the Museum Garage, a parking structure in front of the ICA featuring six artistic facades designed by various architects, including the Murcia-based studio Clavel Arquitectos.
Key Biscayne
One of the most exclusive experiences Miami offers doesn’t cost a thing. We’re talking about spending the day on one of the paradisiacal beaches of Key Biscayne, an island preserved from overdevelopment. Beyond the luxury homes and golf course, Key Biscayne offers untouched nature and beaches where only those seeking the serenity of its turquoise waters venture. All the beaches are beautiful, but Bill Baggs Cape Natural Park beach is always among the most beautiful in the U.S.
Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
This mansion with a pier and gardens represents the quintessence of the early 20th-century American millionaire’s dream: owning a European-style palace in his own country. James Deering, the developer of this estate called “Vizcaya,” designed his vacation home inspired by Spanish conquistadors, incorporating architectural details from colonial Spain, Renaissance Italy, and Baroque gardens, all decorated with antiques purchased in the Old Continent. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens opened to the public in 1950 and has since remained one of Florida’s top attractions.
New World Center
Designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry, this auditorium is the official home of one of the world’s most prestigious educational institutions, the New World Symphony Orchestra, where hundreds of young aspiring professional musicians are trained. The main hall of the auditorium, with exceptional acoustics and over 750 seats, hosts concerts performed by the student orchestra. Occasionally, the facade of the New World Center transforms into a giant screen projecting the concerts for everyone to enjoy.
Miami Beach Marina
This marina, one of the first built in the Miami Metropolitan area, has the distinction of having one of the most expensive berths in the world. In addition to some of the best hotels in Miami, this area offers all services necessary for yacht maintenance, yacht purchase (or rental) services; and companies that allow you to book an offshore excursion, whether for diving, water skiing, or fishing for the famous marlin, a fast swordfish abundant in these warm waters.
Wynwood Art District
The neighborhood where Miami’s creative minds lay the foundations for what will be trendy within a decade is called Wynwood. Its streets are filled with alternative cultural offerings, including the country’s largest urban art exhibition. Another highlight takes place on the second Saturday of the month, from 6 pm until early morning, during the Wynwood Art Walk, an open-door night where shops, galleries, and restaurants turn the streets into a must-visit celebration.
